Today I have my first holiday nails to show y’all! I just joined a nail art group that posts a week’s worth of nails each month relating to a specific theme and this month’s theme is (of course) FESTIVENESS! So I hope y’all are ready for five sweet (and GLITTERY) holiday-themed manis this week cuz I’m super pumped to show you them. I did these glittery poinsettia nails a couple weeks ago and it’s been hard to wait to post them because I love them a lot… so much that I might re-do them for my actual Christmas nails. You can (AND SHOULD) go check out my blog post for more pictures and an explanation of how I did these!

I’m in love with Samoan Sand (the nude base)! It’s officially one of my favorite nude colors. Thank you @caleelovesnails for sending me a bottle! It’s been a while since I’ve done anything animal print on my nails. I gotta say, I love how the color combo turned out! The bottle I’m holding is what I have on my thumb.

INSPIRED by @prettyproject’s similar mani (hers is matte, I used a topcoat). I fell in love with her version and decided to give it a go. I usually keep my accent nail relatively simple but this time I wanted to do something I haven’t done before! Different sized rhinestones for a little bling and flakies. Flakies are so hard to capture on camera! I had to take multiple shots just to get a decent one. Overall, I’m in love with this combo! (See another view of this mani here.)

Although my birthday isn’t until next week (a week from this Thursday), I thought I’d start brainstorming some ideas now. Got two of the designs from Nailside. Seattle weather has been dark, cold, snowy, rainy, sunny (literally all seasons in one day, no joke, it’s been kinda depressing!) so I needed something bright and fun on my nails! All the polishes I used were China Glaze, a few no name polishes, and black & white stripers.

I feel like I’ve been MIA but today is my birthday and my nails look pretty! Haha. Just kidding! But these were inspired by @s-lacquer’s entry for @prettynailswag’s nail art contest (2 of my fave blogs!). I knew once I saw them I had to try! All colors are China Glaze. And besides, I love anything floral and I’m a spring baby so these were fitting ;)

PS: I’m sorry I have a slight case of lobster hands! I don’t know why they’re so red. -___- lol.

ROSE NAILS TUTORIAL.

This is my very first tutorial. I’d honestly suck at doing videos so I simplified it to photos. Lol. The wonderful Mel (aka @prettynailswag) requested it so I said why not! I love her nail art! :)

What you’ll need:
-5 colors (base color, 3 for your roses, and 1 for your leaves; of course you could do 1 or 2 colors for your roses and have no leaves at all. It’s entirely up to you!)
-A nail art brush (it shouldn’t be too small or too big) or a toothpick for drawing your roses.

Steps:
1. Paint your nails your base color.
2. (When that’s dry) add 3 random dots anywhere on your nail. But make sure you don’t clump them all into one area. Space them out.
3. Start making some lines around the dot. Slightly curve them so that it doesn’t look too awkward.
4. Continue to build the lines around the dot.
5. This step is essentially the same as the previous. I just wanted to show you guys how I build mine up. Keep going until you’ve reached your desired size!
6. Add leaves to fill in the white spaces (or not add any and just leave them as-is). And voila, you’re done!

Nail the B.Y.T.C.H. - Tasty Pasty’s - Formula is a bit thick but I’m loving this colour, actually loving alot of Nail the B.Y.T.C.H’s colours right now, perfect for spring and summer.

Paying Homage to the lovely Megan of Solmates-Nails, not much to say, she’s dope, part of the crew. The design on my thumb is based on her super-easy, well-explained tutorial HERE. Used gold and pink big hexagon glitters for some bling.

If you didn’t know, it’s HOMAGE MONTH! Props to Christina of StarlettApproved for this brilliant idea <3
